Study Hall
In their first trimester at Tabor, ninth grade students participate in structured study hall sessions held in the Academic Center. As they transition into the second trimester, they move on to reduced support study/prep periods, following a customized approach designed to enhance their academic performance. These sessions can take place in their dorms or the library. In grades 10-12, students have Evening Prep. Boarding students can decide to spend this prep time in the dorms, or join day students who opt to stay on campus in the library or Academic Center. Peer tutors have on campus privileges to tutor during Evening Prep hours, as well.
Saturday Programming
Tabor Academy offers a large variety of activities for students on the weekends. This long list includes activities such as waterfront weekends, movie nights, food truck gatherings, bonfires, trampoline parks, game nights, sport tournaments, and so much more!
Residential Life
Tabor's legacy of boarding education dates back to its inception in 1876. Since then, our dormitories have maintained both cherished and modernized traditions: One dorm upholds fireside chats at ten o'clock, even though the fireplace itself is gone; another enjoys guided strolls to stargaze; yet another thrives on karaoke sessions, holding sing-offs in its common room post-study hall. Birthday celebrations, a favorite in every dorm, take on unique flavors, with some featuring cakes and others savoring s’mores.
