Curriculum
Varied and expansive course offerings allow you to shape your studies to your interests and goals as you prepare for college. There are courses for every interest, opportunities to dive deep with AP and special topics courses across the curriculum, and a wide range of electives to let you try new things.
Programming
Brewster offers a wide range of opportunities for students to engage outside the classroom. Whether through diverse clubs, community service projects, or leadership roles, there’s something for everyone to explore. Getting involved allows you to make a positive impact, form lasting relationships, and enrich your academic journey.
Activity/Sports Requirements
Our requirement is that all students take part in an afternoon activity. They may choose from interscholastic sports, recreational sports, or the arts (options can include theater, journalism, dance, photography, visual arts, and more, depending on the season). In addition, all students are required to participate on at least one interscholastic sports team during the year - unless they are in the arts track. Students in the arts track commit all of their afternoon activities to the arts and are exempt from the interscholastic sports requirement.
Dress Code
Students should dress in business casual unless it is a formal attire day or occasion.

Saturday Programming
Every weekend offers an array of opportunities. Nearly every weekend features a service activity, a shopping or movie trip, a chance to take advantage of our location and other seasonal excursions like hay rides, corn mazes, ski trips, and water parks. On campus, a number of students choose to stick around for game shows, coffee houses, dodgeball events, and all sorts of other fun!
Residential Life
Dorms at Brewster are divided between upper (grades 11, 12, PG) and lower campus (grades 9 and 10). Community Living Parents (CLPs) are the primary contact for students and live in attached housing, along with other faculty members and their families. From spontaneous gatherings on the terrace to s'mores nights at the fire pit, outdoor movie gatherings, community service events, or planned outings with your Community Living Parents, there are many opportunities to connect and have fun with your dormmates. Day students are also members of dorms and are included in dorm-related activities.
