Curriculum
A robust academic curriculum is the cornerstone of the Asheville School experience. Students engage with complex ideas and diverse perspectives and develop an ever-deepening life-long curiosity for their areas of interest. Success includes growth in both academic achievement and personal development. Our students graduate with a comprehensive set of applicable skills that enable them to succeed in college and beyond.
Programming
Asheville School offers a wide variety of programs beyond the classroom. Activites and clubs, athletics, outdoor programs, service and intellectual learning, and spiritual life programs are all available for students to take advantage of.
Activity/Sports Requirements
All students are required to participate in a sport or extracurricular activity for two hours every afternoon.
Dress Code
There are many dress codes such as classroom dress, relaxed classroom dress, spirit dress, and casual dress. Each is specific to different situations and require different items of clothing.
Seated Meals
Seated Meals | We will forever believe in the power of analog connection. The tradition of gathering for seated meals has remained steadfast across decades as a cornerstone of our campus experience. Because through conversation over dinner, with all devices stowed away, we forge bonds that will last lifetimes.

Saturday Programming
Asheville School has a program called "Mountaineering" that allows students to participate in a wide variety of activities outdoors. These include hiking, backpacking, climbing, paddleing, etc. These weekend activites are encouraged for students to participate in.
Residential Life
Boarding students live in one of three dormitories, with hall parents never far away. Our faculty is a grounding presence, here to celebrate a student's success, give counsel, or simply listen.
