Cornell Pre-College Studies

Whether you're participating in our Summer Residential Program or taking a course online, you'll experience what sets our offerings apart—studying with Cornell faculty, learning in regular undergraduate-level courses, and earning real college credit for your work.

Georgetown University

College Credit Courses: Georgetown offers two five-week, on-campus sessions and one eight-week, online cross-session in the summer.

Oxbridge Academic Programs

For more than 35 years, Oxbridge Academic Programs has hosted bright and enthusiastic students aged 13-18 for four-, two-, and one-week study programs on some of the world’s leading campuses. What began in 1986 in Oxford, England, now additionally includes Cambridge, Paris, Montpellier, Barcelona, Salamanca, and New York City. Central to each of our programs is a commitment to imaginative teaching, experiential learning, and cultural enrichment—paired with a safe and supportive environment for students to immerse themselves in some of the most fascinating cities in the world.

Courses

We offer over 200 courses, many of which aren’t available at school, and all of which are taught by university experts and industry professionals. Our most popular courses include Medicine, Law, Business, and Psychology. You choose two subjects, a major and a minor. The major meets six mornings per week and the minor meets three afternoons per week.

University of Notre Dame

Notre Dame offers exceptional high school students a true college experience on campus, abroad, and virtually! Earn college credit through stimulating seminars, explore research with Notre Dame faculty, and live in a residence hall community.

University of Pennsylvania

The Management & Technology Summer Institute (M&TSI)

The Management & Technology Summer Institute (M&TSI) is a rigorous and rewarding for-credit summer program for rising high school seniors and a select number of rising high school juniors interested in exploring the integration of technological concepts and management principles.

Run by the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology in partnership with Penn Engineering and the Wharton School, M&TSI features classes taught by leading Penn faculty and successful entrepreneurs, an intensive team prototyping project and other activities designed to give students the opportunity to learn about the principles and practice of technological innovation.

 

Leadership in the Business World (LBW)

Leadership in the Business World (LBW) is an intensive summer program for a select group of rising seniors who want an introduction to a top-notch undergraduate business education and the opportunity to hone their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Since 1999, LBW has brought students from six continents and nearly every state to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

University of Virginia

 

UVA Advance is a four-week summer residential program for highly-motivated, rising high school juniors and seniors that offers participants an opportunity to experience college life at the University of Virginia

 

To be eligible for the program, a student must be in good academic standing with a GPA of at least 3.5 in a college prep curriculum and be a rising high school junior or senior. Completed applications for admission will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the program is full. We encourage students to apply early.

Vanderbilt University

 

You don't have to be out of high school to enjoy a Vanderbilt education. Vanderbilt offers a variety of programs to pre-college students, including:

 

 

The Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach establishes partnerships between university scientists, K-12 educators and students, and the local and global science community and offers summer programs including GAS (Girls And Science) and BEST (Boys Exploring Science and Technology).

 

 

Vanderbilt Programs for Talented Youth is dedicated to “developing talent in gifted students and those who work with them.” To fulfill this mission PTY offers academic year and summertime programming for eligible students.

Additionally, PTY hosts a number of professional development opportunities and serves as a local and national parent resource for gifted education.

    • VSA – Vanderbilt Summer Academy

    • Residential Program – For students entering grades 8 – 12, VSA offers accelerated courses in 1 – 3 week summer sessions. Students live on campus and take advanced-level courses taught by VU faculty and graduate students in a challenging yet supportive environment.

Wake Forest University

 

Summer Immersion Program

The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is a hands-on learning experience offered on-campus. High school students dive deep into a field of study with access to world-class faculty, researchers, and industry professionals.

Online Immersion Program

The Wake Forest online immersion program offers courses designed for high school students year-round. The program gives students access to renowned Wake Forest professors while still in high school — providing the opportunity to explore fields which could ultimately lead to future career paths. Courses also include University mentorship.

Summer Exploration Program

The Wake Forest Summer Exploration Program provides rising 7th-9th grade students the opportunity to explore a variety of STEM-related topics. Students will live on campus for the one week program offered in June and July. Led by Wake Forest professors and staff,  students learn through labs, simulations, data collection, and fun!

College LAUNCH for Leadership

The Wake Forest College LAUNCH for Leadership Program is designed to promote access to higher education by increasing social consciousness and awareness of opportunities available for high school students who have been identified as having extraordinary academic and leadership potential.

Washington University Pre-College Programs

 

Through our High School Summer Scholars Program, students have the opportunity to enroll in courses for credit and study alongside undergraduates. Students select from a broad range of stimulating introductory courses in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics. Students may choose to enroll in one or two 3-unit courses. 

This program is ideal for students who want to earn college credit, challenge themselves academically and explore courses in a specific major or subject. 

High School Summer Scholars live on campus in one of our top-ranked, air-conditioned residence halls. In addition to course work, High School Summer Scholars participate in specialized college readiness, community building, and academic support activities.

Yale Young Glocal Scholars

Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is an academic enrichment program for outstanding high school students from around the world. Each summer, students from over 150 countries (including all 50 U.S. states) participate in one interdisciplinary, two-week session online or at Yale’s historic campus. Immerse yourself in a global learning community at Yale University.
