Logging Into Your Accounts

You have 2 accounts with Garrett Educational Consulting - your Custom College Plan Account, and your account on this website.

Only students have a login for the Custom College Plan site. Students were emailed activation information for this account (parents were copied). This account is accessed by using the MY GARRETT ED LOGIN button at the top of every website page. This site is where you upload documents, view assigned tasks, research colleges, and keep track of your applications during your senior year.

The other login you will have is for the GEC website. You use this to schedule appointments, access your class homepage, use the GEC Digital Resource Notebook and more. The first time you try to login you will have to register and be approved to access the client sections of the website. To do this click Log In at the top right of the page and follow the instructions. Once you have been approved you will use the Log In button to access the website. Both students and parents can request access to our website.

Class Homepages

Your class homepage is where you will find information that you will need during your time with us. You will schedule appointments for meetings and webinars on this page as well as see important announcements and upcoming events. This is also where students and parents will access questionnaires and exercises that GEC will ask you to complete during your time with us. You can access your page by selecting the GEC College Clients menu at the top and selecting your graduation year.

Digital Notebook

You can access the GEC Digital Notebook from your class homepage. The notebook is the first place to go when you are searching for information or if you have questions. From course planning to summer planning, information about financial aid and gap year - you can find a wealth of information about the college process and beyond here.

Custom College Plan

The Custom College Plan account is where you will learn more about colleges, create your resume, review and complete tasks, build your college list, work on your application essays, manage your application deadlines, and indicate the application response and scholarship awards. We have many tutorials available on how to use this site - click the link underneath the orientation video to access them.

Milestones

Each year brings a different part of the process to tackle. You will have meetings that correspond with the items that need to be accomplished in the school year you are in along with webinars that provide valuable information about different parts of the college process. You can always refer to the Milestones section of your class homepage to see what things will be done during the year and what to expect at each meeting, workshop, or webinar
